HISTORY - THE EARLY YEARS

about
The "Andy Cole Children's Foundation" was formed in 2000. It was a non-political organisation, established with the aim to help children primarily in countries of the southern African region. The charity was set up after Andrew Cole (Premiership footballer) visited Zimbabwe. As a result a group of Trustees got together and founded the charity to work with children in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi, funding projects like the Mbuya Nehanda Children's Home, a mobile clinic in Harare and supporting thousands of children through a schools project in Livingstone, Zambia.
The "Andy Cole Children's Foundation" ceased its work in 2003 in its original form. A number of the former trustees have continued to support small scale grass roots projects and have been developing new ways to continue the legacy and expand it potential. Find out how we work now
